We have a date! (for the kitty anyway)

So I visited our lovely baby girl kitty( which owen still has to meet) and she has gotten so much bigger!!! We get to bring her home probably on the ninth of October :)
When I visited It was only her and one of her siblings that wanted to play and when I left she followed me all the way down the hall :D So cute!!! I'm planning to make a cat bed out of a old t-shirt and stuff it with some old blanket stuffing stuff from a blanket that faiths dog tore up when they stayed with me for 3 months :) RECYCLING is awesome! :) I'll post how it turned out.

ITS OFFICIAL =^-^=

So the 11th I went to a friends house that was back from college on a visit and turns out her cat just had kittens so of course one of them attached itself to me and me to it tuggin on all my lil ol heartstrings I discussed it with my hubby to be and since he's still living at home he had to ask his parents if they minded. TODAY IT WAS MADE OFFICIAL WE ARE GETTING IT
she's a little calico baby partially orange tabby partially gray and has a itty bitty white tip on her tail. I talked it over with Owen dearest and we have picked out the name Ginny (my choice) and Bean (his) so she'll be called Ginny bean (reminds me of jelly bean) But yea to explain I wanted to name her after ginny from harry potter and he wanted to name her bean because calico cats always reminded him of coffee. anywho so its ginny bean :)

My finicky orchid :)

So a few months ago I went to the farm fresh close to my house after school to get some snacks and I spotted a orchid on the way in and it was so pretty! and then on the way I out I made the decision like a crazy person to buy it even though these are really difficult plants to take care of.
But so far so good :) its so beautiful!

Back at it

So here I am, One follower who never gets on -nudges her- a few post that are over a year old. And a craving for crafting recently. I've been sick for the past two days and have been dieing to make something. ( Mostly in the sewing department) But will not subject my boyfriend to sitting around while I sew. Its around 2am for me and I've been up since 6am. The only thing that currently makes my throat feel better is tea but we don't have any caffeine free tea I believe this is what is causing me to stay awake. So! Due to my half brained alertness I decided to sew a skirt. I rummaged around the house and found a vintagey print sheet that was rather worn out but would serve very well as material (though it would definitely need to be lined) I did NOT have a pattern and didn't think to wait for one so there I went measuring my waist and that's really all I did. I started cutting away, my mistake was that I did not account for the seam/lining so it ended up being too short around and the ends barely met. Major wahhh right? at the moment I'm too tired to think of what to do with the failed attempt other than to use it to make a different styled skirt. Just make it into flaired panels I suppose. At least I have the rest of the sheet still. SO! as a update. This will not only be a crafty blog! In addition I will be adding my finds at thrift stores (which have been MANY) I have found the absolute jackpot of all thrift stores I've ever been to. Great finds and cheap! Last trip I got 2 pairs of jeans, 3 shirts,1 mini dress, a hat, two belts and a world of warcraft book (tee hee) All for 20 something bucks. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Thrift shopping has certainly turned me into a penny pincher of sorts. You can always find something you can wear off the rack (after you wash it of course) or something you can fix or alter with some quick hand sewing! ....Anywho. I'm a rambler and I have to go to bed G-night all!
